This weeks song is a throw back from the 80’s. The 80’s had some good music but what happened to all those bands and their one-hit-wonders? I usually pick songs randomly while I’m driving or at a restaurant and something I haven’t heard in a while comes on. I’ll Shazam the song to save for later (I love Shazam, otherwise I would surely forget). That’s how this song and many others end up on my playlist.

One Thing Leads to Another  The Fixx

The Fixx is a British New Wave Rock band formed in London in 1979. This song was released in 1983 on their Reach The Beach album. It was one of three songs from that album to hit the Top 40 and was the most successful song. It also hit #4 on the Billboard Top 100 chart the year it was released. I didn’t even know The Fixx were still around but apparently they are on tour this year into 2019 and will be local in July. Go figure. Sometimes it’s fun to see these old bands…and sometimes, not so much. It’s a risk you have to be willing to take.

Any how, there’s a tiny bit of music history for you.

Do you listen to 80’s music? Or do you prefer something more current?

Thanks for stopping by. Please check back next month for more Music Monday!

 Keep Running!

That was one of my favorite songs back in the day when I went to Nautilus to work out and the aerobics instructor always used the same songs in the same order. Haha! Am I showing my age?? I still do love that song. I need to add it to my playlist!

Some songs definitely bring back memories. If you think this one is old I added Jim Croce’s Bad Bad Leroy Brown because it reminds me of when I was a kid. 🙂
