Music and More Monday

It’s time to add more music to my playlist so I thought I would bring back Music Monday and add a little more.  I’ll be sharing songs, audiobooks and podcasts that get be through my runs.

For a while I got away from listening to music and started listening to podcasts and audiobooks but I’ve found that certain runs have specific listening needs. Books are great for long easy runs, podcasts for shorter “everyday” runs and music works best with intervals or track runs.

These Monday posts will be short and sweet, so join me on Mondays, and if you want, share what you’re currently listening to with me and our running friends.

Today I’m sharing a song from 1987:

“Dude (Looks Like A Lady)” Aerosmith

With the recent death of Kobe Bryant I started thinking about how sad I was when Robin Williams died, then this song came on the radio and I knew I had to add it to my playlist. Mrs. Doubtfire is an all-time classic and this scene is a favorite. I hope you enjoy the song and the clip. It definitely helped me power through my hill repeats.

Have a great day, and dance like no one is watching!

Thanks for reading!

I came home to my girls listening to Aerosmith when they were in their early teens, maybe preteen, and said “Now I know I’ve done something right.” Lol

I have to admit that I’ve never actually seen Mrs. Doubtfire (just a few scenes here & there). Robin’s death was so sad. Such a great talent, gone too soon.

You should watch it, it’s a favorite in our house.
