A Few of My Favorite Things: Running and Otherwise

Are you like me…when you find things you love you want to share them with everyone?? Well I have a few favorite things I want to share with you. I am not promoting these products or being compensated in any way for sharing them with you.

I’m a sucker for socks! Every time I walk by a sock display I have to resist buying more. I can’t believe I haven’t tried these socks sooner. I tried them for the first time recently and I already love them. I hesitated on buying them sooner because I didn’t want to pay $12 – $16 a pair when I can get 6 pairs of Under Armour socks for the same price. No offense to UA but they are not comparable to these socks. I like my socks to be lightweight, soft and to stay in place. These socks passed the test. I got the blister resist no show socks,  which are great, but next time I will get the ultra light no show ones. (And there will be a next time.) Balega is currently having a back to school sale so it’s a perfect time to get a pair and judge for yourself.

As usual I’m late to the party. I just bought one of these a couple months ago and I love it! It’s the easiest, quickest way to make a smoothie, and clean up is a breeze. I bought the middle of the road one, NutriBullet NBR 1201. (On amazon for $49) I read somewhere you want it to be at least 600 watts and that’s what this one is. It comes with 2 different size cups but I only use the big one.

My go-to smoothie is a couple of handfuls of spinach, chia seeds, frozen berries, (I freeze my berries and bananas when they start looking sad) almond milk, protein powder and sometimes a little plain Greek yogurt or 1/4 of an avocado.

I think I have mentioned this sunscreen before but it’s worth a repeat. It is waterproof and free of harmful chemicals, which makes it safe for humans and the environment. Did you know that oxybenzone (an active ingredient in most sunscreens) is contributing to coral reef bleaching. This sunscreen is oxybenzone free. I use this one and Thinksun tinted sunscreen for my face. They both last through my long sweaty runs and neither are smelly or sticky.

Fre

The Fre’ skin care line is a definite favorite and it’s formulated for sweaty, active women. All the products smell wonderful and feel great on my skin. The ones I like the most are the hydrating cleanser, replenishing serum, facial moisturizer with (safe) sunscreen, (I use daily or before short runs. I’m not sure it will last for long runs.) dry body oil and  recover me night moisturizer <<(love how this smells).

Use this discount code -> DMPETERSEN002624 on your first order and get 25% off!

For every skincare set sold, Fre’ will plant an Argon tree. Read why that matters here. While you’re there use the code above to purchase some amazing products! πŸ™‚

Have you tried any of these products? If so, do you love them too?

I’ve used a Nutribullet for a few years and I love it! It’s so easy to make my favorite smoothies in it.

Yeah, like I said, I’m a little late to the party. πŸ˜‰

I bought my son a nutribullet to make his smoothies for college! He loves it!

    • Denise | 30th Aug 19

Cool. At least you know he’s drinking smoothies and not Red Bull. Or if he is then at least he’s getting some fruits and veggies. πŸ˜‰

I have a Nutribullet and love it! I also have a BlendTec Blender but definitely prefer the Nutribullet.

I have a Ninja blender but the Nutribullet is so easy and convenient.

        Oh definitely!

I should get a Nutribullet, maybe I’d jump on the smoothie wagon then. I keep hearing so many great things about Fre products. I’m tempted to try them, but my hyper sensitive skin has only ever been happy with Clinique. UGH. Decisions…. πŸ˜‰

My skin isn’t sensitive but I feel like Fre products are gentle. If you decide to try them watch for deals because they always have them.

Balega socks have been my go for years. Best socks! I have a nutribullet somewhere but have not used it in a while. I go on and off of smoothies.

I can’t believe I’ve waited this long to try Balegas! I now feel like I have definitely been missing out!

I’m a huge fan of Balega socks (Balega, do you hear that, LOL?).

I have a Vitamix & a smaller Tribest blender, although I’ll be looking for a new Vitamix around the holidays . . . they last a long time but it’s been well over 10 years & it’s just time.

I like Sunbum sunscreen, but i haven’t heard of Thinksport & it sounds interesting — I’m careful about what goes into my beauty products (mostly).

I have a Ninja blender but I don’t use it too often because I’m too lazy to wash it out.
I like the smell of Sunbum. I’ve been meaning to look at their ingredients.

The little one I have the container & blades can go in the dishwasher. The Vitamix is relatively easy to clean, too.

I used to try all the socks until I came upon Balega. Now that’s all I’ll wear. They are wonderful! I’m so with you on Fre as well. Every product is SO good and smells wonderful.
