Runners love to talk about running, and I am no different. I will talk about training, lack of training, shoes, latest gadgets, upcoming races, past races, injuries, no injuries…yada, yada, yada. I think people as a whole like to talk about the things we obsess over enjoy doing. For some it’s gardening, or home dΓ©cor and others it could be going to the gym. For me it’s running. I actually look forward to seeing certain people because I know they will talk all things running with me. I try not to bore non-runners with details of my training (or the socks I currently love) because I’m pretty sure they don’t care and I don’t want them to walk the other way when they see me coming.
I love to help others. I am all over giving my opinion and advise. Obviously, considering I have a blog just for that. I don’t give advice when advice is not asked for, (I’m not THAT person) , but if someone approaches me with a question I will happily advise them on why they have shin-splints, what shoes I prefer, what to eat before, during and after a run. I love helping new runners…or any runners for that matter. I seem to be the “go to” person on all things running at work. And I love that. It makes me feel good knowing people want to run and value my opinion.
If you are reading this you are probably a runner, but I know there are a few readers out there that are not runners…yet…so this is for you.
Be careful what you ask me. You might get more than you bargained for. I’ll tell you about where, when and with whom my next race is. As well as training, new gear, aches and pains, and so on and so on. π Another words, don’t ask and I won’t tell. Maybe
If you are new to running or want to start running feel free to tell me, I love hearing all about it. I don’t care if you ran 1 mile or even just thought about running a mile. I will listen.
Know that I post on FB and IG to inspire and encourage others. Some may see it as boasting but it’s never meant to be that. Yes sometimes I am proud of what I have accomplished, but I am proud of you too. I want to see what you are doing to stay healthy and fit, so don’t be afraid to post!
I love it when you ask my advice or share your goals with me. I hope you continue to ask about my running because I want to continue to talk about it. Hopefully not more than you want to hear about it. π
I’m linking up with Kim and Zenaida for Tuesdays Topics. Share the love by visiting them and a few others.

Good thing we found our tribe! We can “talk” to each other. π
Kimberly Hatting | 2nd Apr 19
Ummmmm, I’m guilty of everything you mentioned LOL I started my running page on Facebook for that very reason, because I respected most of my non-running friends really didn’t want to hear all of my running chatter. Do you also have “running radar?” If I’m out and about and I hear someone mention a race or running shoes or any relevant running-related topic, my ears seem to instantly perk up. You, too? π
Denise | 3rd Apr 19
I definitely have “running radar” Kimberly! And it’s an instant connection when you hear a stranger talk running.

Sorry for the late reply, had issues with blog.
I sure people regret asking me about running too. I guess that’s why we blog. π

I love to talk about running but sometimes I can see when people aren’t interested in it at all so then I’ll switch subjects lol
