It may still be 80 degrees outside but with the kids back in school the lazy days of summer are nearing the end. :-/
Getting back to a routine can be good in many ways. For some, having the kids in school allows for more time to work-out, go for a run, take a yoga class, get a few friends to go on a hike, or take a walk at the beach while it’s still warm. Just because bathing suits are going to packed away soon doesn’t mean it’s okay to hide some extra pounds under a sweater 😉 . So many people start an exercise program before summer in preparation for less clothing, then slack off as the weather cools. But running and exercise is not all about weight loss. It’s about stress relief, being healthy, strong and fit. As the days get shorter squeezing in a work-out gets more challenging but it’s doable. Check back later for tips on how to keep motivated as the weather cools…because an afternoon snuggle on the couch with your blanket and a book can be more appealing than going to yoga.
I love the Fall, but I’m not ready to give up summer just yet. This weeks song is dedicated to summer.
