Runfessions: May ’18 Edition

I love this time of the month when we link up with Marcia for runfessions.  What a great idea she came up with. It feels good to get a few things off my chest as well as read what others are going through. So take the time to read a few and be sure to go to Marcia’s post and leave a comment.

monthly runfessions

The month of May has flown by (I’m pretty sure I say that every month) and like previous months I have a few things to runfess.

I runfess that I spend way too much time reading running blogs and not enough time writing on my own! I love reading what everyone is doing. This next month I will make a goal to limit my reading time and focus on my writing time.

I runfess that I still haven’t transferred my half marathon registration to the full marathon. What am I waiting for? Doubts? Afraid of failing? Disappointing family? All of the above? I’ll do it this week…I swear.

I runfess that I am so happy that my oldest daughter started going to Pilates with me. πŸ˜€ I gave up on getting my girls to run with me (I’m always a little envious when I see kids run with one of their parents). Maybe it’s too soon to give up. I didn’t start running until I was 20 or 21, and some people don’t start until way later in life. There’s hope yet! πŸ™‚

And lastly,

I runfess that since I have upped the intensity of my runs I have wanted to eat all day, every day! Those darn tortilla chips! I need to stop eating them! If I could just run, eat, and nap,  my life would be near perfect! Oh wait…that’s what I’ve been doing. lion resting: runheartfit.net

I could probably go on but that’s it for now. I’ll save something for next month.

Do you have anything you want to runfess? Do you get excited when your kids want to do things with you?

Thanks for reading!

Keep running!

I love that your daughter is doing Pilates with you! Maybe I can get mine to go to yoga. She won’t run with me unless I force her and I don’t wanna be that mom. Ha! Enjoy the long weekend!

My youngest did yoga with me a couple of times. Yay! They both ran a little with me but neither liked it. Oh well…maybe some day. Have a great weekend too!

I keep hoping my boys will run with me. When they were little they’d do yoga with me. But running? Not so much.

Don’t give up hope, maybe they will someday. πŸ™‚
When my girls were little I made them ride their bikes while I ran. They didn’t love that either.
