It’s the end of the the month and year so it’s time to runfess a few things. I’ve had a busy couple of weeks, with the holidays and my FIL visiting from Florida, so posting has gone to the bottom of a long list. But here we are again and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to cleanse my soul/sole.
I runfess that I am looking forward to returning to my daily routines and my alone time. Fortunately running gives me some alone time but afternoons in my quiet room with my Kindle have been put on hold. It’s all good though, things will be back to normal soon.
I runfess that I have been focusing less on my pace (and looking at my Garmin) and more on form, feel and heart rate. While its nice to see a fast pace on my Garmin it also freeing to just run.
And lastly I runfess that winter is not my favorite running season. Our winter here is mild in comparison to most of the country but it’s all relative really. We’ve had some cold, wet days lately, making getting out to run a bit of a struggle. Don’t get me wrong, we desperately need the rain and I love that we have gotten a lot of rain and snow, and I do enjoy running in the colder temps, but getting from point A (my warm bed) to point B (outside) is a challenge. 😉
That’s all for now. What have you got to runfess?
I’m linking with Marcia for Runfessions. Thanks Marcia for opening the runfessional. Happy New Year to all!
It’s the end of April which means Marcia has opened the Runfessional for us…
Marcia has opened the Runfessional for all of us runners to bare our soles. It…

I do love winter running. We don’t get really harsh winters here for the most part and I do much better in cooler temps. I really like my Garmin for mileage and honestly don’t pay too much attention to pace on most runs. Happy new year and happy running. You should join our weekly Sunday Weekly Run Down posts!

I also do better in cooler temps once I’m out there.
Happy running to you too.
I feel like my weekly runs/workouts are pretty boring but I might give it a try. 😊

I like variety I get bored running the same routes.
I hate cold weather and thinking about how many layers to wear. It’s exhausting and where to run due to ice and darkness.

I like variety in routes but not in morning routines.

I like variety and the trails provide plenty of that–even tho i run the same trails, they are different every time I go. I do like winter running but by March, I’m over it.

Summer is my least favorite time of year to run. Fall & Spring tend t be more to my liking (but sometimes we skip Spring and just go from Winter to Summer).
Still I will take the cold running over the hot running!
It’s always hard when you are out of your routine. But you’re right, it’s temporary!
