I can’t believe it’s already going to be May. We didn’t get much in the way of April showers but May flowers are in bloom and I love it!
I have to runfess that I truly feel for people who live in other parts of the country that are not getting a Spring this year. I have tried to refrain from complaining about our chilly (and sometimes downright cold!) days here in California because I know it might be a whole lot worse somewhere else. To make those from the Midwest, North and East coast feel better, I would like to remind you that you probably don’t have the traffic issues we have here. (I hope that helps.) It’s give and take. π
I runfess that I am seriously thinking about trying to qualify for Boston. I went so far as to print out a training plan. (makes me nervous just thinking about it) I have researched a couple marathons that are known for the most qualifying finishers. Mountains to Beach (M2B) in Ojai, California in May, so this would be for 2019. I have done the half there and loved it. And, the California International Marathon (CIM) in Sacramento on December 2nd, which gives me plenty of time to train, and it’s in the Winter! Anyone else training for a qualifying marathon?
I runfess sometimes I drive by random places and think “What a great place to run.” I know I’m not the only runner to do this but it’s not something I would share with a non-runner…they would think I’m weird.
I runfess that I might have anger issues when it comes to litterbugs! This past weekend I was driving home from Las Vegas in slow moving traffic with my husband when I witnessed someone throw trash out their car window. (I secretly have always wanted to catch someone littering) My husband kept telling me not to say anything and tried to lock my window, but when we got up to them I proceeded to yell at him for littering using a few choice words. I later rethought my actions and figured I could have been nicer. Oh well, he deserved it. π I’m just trying to keep all my potential running routes clean. π
And lastly, I runfess, that I haven’t had the patience or energy to take my puppy, Luna, with me running. She still wants to take off like a bat out of hell and then cross over in front of me, coming dangerously close to tripping me up. I just want to run without having to correct her constantly. My goal for May is to leash train Luna. Wish me luck! π

Summer running is hard. Itβs right up there with running in the wind…
Iβve been listening to audio books and podcasts on most of my runs lately…

Go get that BQ!! So exciting! I totally understand your anger about litterbugs. It blows my mind when people throw stuff out of cars. So sickening. Thanks for linking!
