A Christmas Wishlist For The Runner In Your Life

It’s that time of year again when we our racking our brains trying to think of the perfect gift for our friends and family. I’m one of those people that thinks I’m going to remember that special gift that I saw earlier in the year and 0f course Christmas comes around and I have no idea what I had in mind and you know I didn’t write that $h!t down.

Fortunately I never run out of gift ideas for my runner friends. As runners we all love the latest and greatest gear for running. I like getting all things for the active person…yogi, cyclist, hiker, etc.

Here are just a few things I like or am wishing for, that you might want on your wish list.

Jaybird Wireless Headphones

It took me a little while to get use to the newer model (why do they have to change things) but these are the best ear buds I have found (and I have tried A LOT!). They stay put (huge factor for me), the battery life is 6 hours and they charge super fast. The only negative is that sometimes I feel like I am in a tunnel and my sweat feels like it pools in my ears. Gross, sorry. Do you sweat in your ears? I feel like as a nurse I should know that.  Also my cord is made of a rubber-like material which can stick to my neck but they have another model that a synthetic-like material that covers the cord that I think would be more comfortable.

This model is the Jaybird Tarah Bluetooth Wireless Sport Headphones. On Amazon for under $70

Runtasty Running Fuel Belt –

I found this fuel belt on Amazon (don’t you just love Amazon!) for around $30. I was skeptical at first because the price was so good but after reading all the great reviews I went ahead and ordered it. I’ve had a few different fuel belts and this one is the best thus far. It looks bulky but you hardly know it’s there. Absolute no bounce!

It’s perfect for long runs or trail runs when you need to stay hydrated and fueled. If that sounds like a runner you know than this is the fuel belt for them.

Voted #1 hydration belt on Amazon.

Down For It All Vest-by Lululemon

This is on my wish list. I don’t actually own it but I did check it out while I was in Palm Desert and I want one. I’m in need of a new vest but haven’t been able to find what I am looking for…until now. It’s lightweight with stretchy breathable fabric on the sides. I like that it has a high collar, zippered and side pockets for my essentials, and is long enough to keep out a draft. It comes in several colors so the hardest thing will be deciding on which color. Basic black is always safe.

$148 at Lululemon.

Personalized Engraved Jewelry by Erica Sara

I’m pretty sure any runner would like a personalized necklace or bracelet that features their favorite race. I know I’m ordering one after Boston! She makes necklaces with the city skyline, course or elevation map, or the city name and distance. She also has other non-running related stuff (but who wants that). I’m sure you could ask her for what ever you want and she will make it happen.

Necklaces run around $70. I wasn’t able to upload a picture but you can go to ericasara.com to see what she has.

That’s my Christmas list for 2019, it’s short but sweet. I hope you found something you like…for yourself or for a friend.

Happy Holidays!

Great gift ideas! When I ran Boston a local jeweler ( I believe it was Long’s) had a booth there and I got a sterling unicorn necklace that still makes me smile.

I’m not really a Lululemon fan but when I visited the store recently I saw quite a few things I could’ve gotten, mostly the vest. The quality seemed better than I remembered.
