It’s that time again to catch up on the months activities over coffee. I’m going to pass on pumpkin spice anything but I will be sipping on my usual cup of French roast with a splash of vanilla cream.

I’m linking with Deborah and Coco for the Ultimate Coffee Date. Share the love and check out their blogs.

The Ultimate Coffee Date

Over coffee I would tell you that it has been quite the month. My husband has been having issues with wheezing at night and an occasional irregular heart rate. This has been going on for a long time and has seen his PMD/PA and given steroids and inhalers for the breathing issue and had an EKG done which showed an occasional PVC (premature ventricular contraction) which is usually pretty benign…until they start happening more frequently. Long story short… after seeing a pulmonologist, cardiologist, stress echo, a heart catherization (all clear) and now waiting for a 7 day heart monitor he’s feeling a little frustrated. The monitor is to quantify the PVCs to see if he needs an ablation (basically zap the area the PVCs are originating from). Personally I think we could bypass the monitor and go straight to the ablation but the insurance company needs to see justification. UGH! Good news though, everything was done at my hospital and the staff were all wonderful! (Even before they figured out I worked there. )

Over coffee I would briefly mention my back strain (I’m sure you all know by now and I won’t bore you with the details) that has had me laid up for 5 days now. No need to be concerned, I’m way better and plan to be running by Monday. Woohoo! I have new running shoes and InknBurn outfit to try out. Can I just say that I love some of the new InknBurn designs. I work with the designers husband and have asked him to tell his wife to slow it down a bit. Dang! My bank account can only handle so much! (Even though she gives me a hefty discount…shh)

Speaking of bank accounts, over coffee I would say how I need to get back to work! Not only do I miss my work family but sitting around on my computer makes it way too easy to shop online. I signed up for Grove Collaborative which is a monthly subscription/delivery of earth friendly products. Shipments can be changed and/or cancelled at any time. Some of the products I already buy (Method, Mrs. Meyers) so why not get them shipped to my door? I may or may not have been on Valium when I made this decision.  I won’t mention the other online shopping this week. :-/

I’m not promoting them just letting you know they are out there. I’ll keep you posted on how it works out for me.

And finally, some of you may know we now have a kitten, Oliver, who is lovable, adorable and best friends with our dog Luna…our other dog Sadie could care less one way or another. Oliver is also a mouser. A bring the mouse in the house and chase it around a while before killing it and leaving it at my feet kind of mouser. This was the 2nd mouse he brought in the house but fortunately the other little guy escaped (or maybe delayed the inevitable) with my daughters help.

Oliver cuddling with Luna. 🙂

That’s enough from me. What’s been happening in your life?

Thanks for reading!

Oh wow sounds like a rough few weeks for both you and your husband! Sounds like he is getting the help he needs. Take care you 2!

Thanks Deborah! We’re hanging in there. At least I know my husband isn’t going to have a heart attack. 😉

Wow, sorry to hear about your husband’s issues… never a dull moment. About that INB top, with the dragonfly???? It’s a good thing I haven’t had time to be online shopping or that top would be in my art, too. Hope things improve for all of you ((hugs))

Thanks. Hubby is doing fine and I’m slowly getting back to normal. Don’t you just love that top?! Of course I had to get the matching shorts too.

This might be a duplicate reply cuz it looked like the other didn’t go through…

Oh, I hope your husband’s issues are resolved soon. It sounds stressful. I also hope your back gets better ASAP. I know how tough it is to have new running gear waiting to get used!

    Thanks for joining for coffee!

Thanks! And my running gear is still waiting. It’s killing me! 😉

Oh wow, it all seems to hit the fan at once, doesn’t it? I’m glad you’re feeling better and I hope your husbands issues are resolved as well. Oliver is a cutie. Living basically in the middle of a prairie/forest, I could so use a mouser over the winter. I’d have a kitty in a second if I wasn’t allergic.

Thanks! It’s all good. Could be way worse.
Bummer you’re allergic but at least you have Ozzy (?). I would prefer if Oliver killed his prey outside and left them there. We just had 2 dead lizards in the house.
