It’s the end of the month and time for some runfessions. I’m linking up with Marcia’s Healthy Slice for her monthly runfessional post. Join me and some others in showing Marcia some love and visiting her blog.
I’m just going to get right to it and say,
I runfess that I couldn’t get into the Christmas spirit this year. I did very little shopping and we didn’t even get our tiny little tree until 5 days before Christmas. Besides our annual family trip to Santa’s Village
and my annual Girls Christmas PJ party
there weren’t many Christmas festivities this year. No baking, Christmas light viewing, or Christmas plays. There’s always next year. π
I runfess that I have been slacking on the running since my last marathon (in October!!). I’ve been doing 3 to 4 miles with an occasional 6 miler and that’s about it. I did an 8 mile run (walk/run, let’s be real) the other day with my pup (her longest run) and I felt it in my pelvis/hips. Luna on the other hand was jumping around the living room playing with Sadie as if she just went on a short walk around the block. I guess we both need to step it up.
And while I’m talking about Luna,
I runfess she has been lounging with me while I have my morning coffee in bed. She’s the first dog I have ever let on my bed (still not allowed on the couch). I must be getting soft in my “old” age.
And lastly,
I runfess that just when I thought I was over the emotions from my recent BQ I received the best Christmas gift from my daughter in-law. Seems like there is always that one gift that is extra special. Last year it was a calendar from my daughter Heidi of pictures of my grandkids throughout the year. (I runfess that I was more than a little disappointed I didn’t get a new one this year π ). This years special gift was my necklace from Michelle.
That’s it for now. Stay tuned for 2019 goals! I hope everyone has had a great month and year!
Itβs the end of April which means Marcia has opened the Runfessional for us…
Itβs the end of the the month and year so itβs time…

I was pleasantly surprised that I actually was in the Christmas spirit this year! It’s usually really overwhelming for me (and it was this year too) but for some reason, I relaxed and enjoyed the holiday. I have my theories about that, which I’ll keep to myself, but whatever it was, I hope it happens again next year!

I love it when holiday time is relaxed and enjoyable. I hope it happens for both of next year!

I love your special gift! I love that Michelle understands what an epic accomplishment that is. Look how sweet Luna is. I’m a pushover and let Ozzy on the furniture. Carlo is so old he no longer jumps up on it so there’s that. Haha!

Michelle actually cried when I told her that I decided to go for a BQ. She knew how much it meant to me.
Love the names Ozzy and Carlos (Osbourne and Santana??) My Sadie couldn’t jump on my bed even if she thought she was allowed. π

I think I had plenty of Christmas spirit, but my procrastination was over the top. I just got the last of my Christmas cards sent this afternoon, ugh! In all honesty, I don’t mind getting cards late, because I don’t have much time to read them if they come prior to Christmas….but I respect not everyone is as laid back about that detail LOL That necklace is stellar…I’d be a blubbering idiot if I received something so meaningful π

I actually did cards and got them out just in time. I put all my addresses on a document and printed labels. Easy for next year. I don’t like sending them out late but will if I have to. And I have no problem with getting a late card. π
