Welcome to my about me page! My name is Denise and I am thrilled that you stopped by!
I am a wife, step-mother, mother, meemaw, nurse and last but not least a runner. I have a great life. I am very fortunate to have a healthy family, great friends and a great career.
I have been running for most of my life. I ran my first mile when I was around 16 years old. I think I had the first Nike running shoes made and I thought I was so cool. Running has always made me feel good. It makes me feel strong. I want everyone to experience that feeling, so I decided to start this running blog. I believe running can change your life. My goal is not to turn everyone into a runner but to encourage and motivate those who want to be healthy (and maybe be a runner too).
I spend a lot of time reading articles about health and fitness. I want to share this information with all of you.
I have many years of experience as a runner and have learned, through trial and error, what works for me. I know what motivates me, what pre-race fuel works and what will have me running to the port-a-potty. I can give you training tips for running your first 5k or first marathon. I am not a coach or fitness expert. Everything I share with you is either my opinion or something I have learned from other runners, coaches or various other sources. I want this website to have everything you need in 1 place.
As my blog progresses I will be providing information about:
And much more!
I hope you find my blog inspirational. If you have any questions at all, leave me a comment or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I will respond as soon as I can to all questions.
Thank you for visiting, please come back soon.
